Course Objective
This course is an interactive, hands-on training that provides the student a complete overview of the Oracle PL/SQL Development and how to make the most out of application development. The curriculum is developed according to industry standards.
Pre requisites/ Eligibility
- 60% minimum in B.E/ B. Tech, MCA, Std X and Std XII can register for the course
- Flair for hardware and a good command in a programming language
- Candidates are required to have minimum 95% attendance
- All candidates are expected to fulfill the academic requirements including assignments, tests etc to qualify for the certificate
Course Duration
- 3 months full time (8 hours/day)

Course Content
- Technical Skills (450 hours)
- Create Executable Section and write Control Structures
- Create and manage Procedures, Functions, Packages and Triggers
- Work with Composite Data Types and cursors
- Utilizing Oracle-Supplied Packages in Application Development Including Exception Handling
- Manage Dependencies and Large Objects
- Students are introduced to the utilization of some of the Oracle-supplied packages
- Soft Skills (40 hours)
- Employability Skills (40 hours)
- Quantitative Aptitude and Analytical Skills
- Customer Facing Skills (40 hours)
Subsequent to course completion the student will be
- Very good understanding of Schemas, DDL, and DML
- Aware of the nuances and features of RDBMS
- Able to write PL/SQL programs
- Able to create Application code that can be shared by multiple forms, reports, and data management applications.
Pedagogy
- Assignments will be given for individual and group work to encourage creative thinking and problem solving.
- Hand-outs and course material will be provided to all students.
- On-going formative assessments to get a feedback on the student learning progress.
- Lectures on weekends from Industry practitioners to ensure expectations in line with industry.
- Theory will be delivered by senior faculty and practical sessions will be conducted by Technical /Teaching Assistants.
- The curriculum will have a blend of Oracle Development as well as 120 hours of Business Communication, Analytical Skills and Soft skills.
- For reading comprehension and listening comprehension through language lab feature
- Video recording of presentations will be done to give feedback to students on their improvement areas.
- Group discussions and team work will be part of the pedagogy.
