LAQSH, Mysore had a grand opening in Kuvempunagar on the 15th of October 2011.
The Chief Guest was Pushpalatha Chikkanna, Mayor, Mysore City Corporation inaugurated the center. She spoke a few words and said that Skill training and placement services are the need of the day. She expressed her full support to Laqsh.
B.N Chandrakanth, Co-founder & President, Theorem Inc. Global Solutions was the guest of Honour. He shared his experience in building Theorem into a 700 people organization at Mysore. As a large company they continue to hire fresh graduates and the lack of core employability skills in very visible in them. Recruited fresh graduates, have to be trained within the company, which consumes time and resources. He much appreciated LAQSH’s vision in “Bridging this Talent Gap”, and believes, that this will go in long way in helping the students and corporate in Mysore.
Revathi Kasturi, the CEO of Laqsh Job Skills Academy said that Laqsh is focused on enhancing the employability of youth. Laqsh serves corporate India by partnering with them to develop skills in their employees and help them compete globally. She expressed concern over the fact that although there is abundant talent amongst our youth and several employment opportunities, there is a dearth of employability skills. As students in and around Mysore come to the city to study, a center such as this would cater to their needs. Laqsh’s unique teaching methodologies making learning fun, interesting, and useful.
There were many other leading personalities who were present. Mrs. Pooja Kumar and Mr. Kumar Kanuga will be heading the Laqsh center in Myosre.
