The month of June 2026 marked a significant milestone for vocational students across Telangana as two successful job drives connected hundreds of young job seekers with leading employers. Organized with the aim of providing immediate employment opportunities, the job drives were held on 23rd June at Nalanda Degree College, Jagitial, and on 27th June at Rakesh B.Ed College, Suryapet. The events brought together talented students and reputed companies under one roof, creating a platform where education met employment.
The first job drive took place on 23rd June 2026 at Nalanda Degree College, opposite Bombay Shopping Mall, Karimnagar Road, Jagitial. A total of 140 vocational students participated enthusiastically, and an impressive 117 students secured job offers. The overwhelming response reflected the students’ readiness to begin their professional careers and the industry’s confidence in vocational education.
The second job drive was conducted on 27th June 2026 at Rakesh B.Ed College, near the BSNL Tower, Bhagat Singh Nagar, Suryapet. Once again, 140 students participated, with 115 students successfully getting selected by various companies. The high placement rate at both locations highlights the growing demand for skilled vocational graduates in today’s job market.
Each job drive welcomed more than 20 reputed companies from diverse industries. On 23rd June, employers such as Justdial, MedPlus, Axis Bank, Bank of India, Commet, Muthoot Finance, IndusInd Bank, Paytm, Canara Bank, Dmart, Blinkit, C2C Consultancy, 3GHR Services, Quess, and several other organizations conducted interviews and recruited candidates. Similarly, the Suryapet job drive featured companies including Kotak Life, Pavan, ExcelR, Young India, Sansai Group, HDFC, Navata Road Transport, MedPlus, Paytm, Muthoot Finance, Commet, CreditAccess, Finfree Enterprise, and many more.
These job drives were specially organized for students who had completed vocational education and were looking to enter the workforce immediately after graduation. For many young people, pursuing higher education is not always financially possible. Others may face challenges such as limited access to employment opportunities due to their locality or lack of career guidance. As a result, many graduates remain at home without exploring available job opportunities.
The Telangana Job Drive addressed these challenges by bringing employers directly to the students. It offered them a chance to attend interviews, interact with recruiters, and secure employment without the burden of travelling long distances or searching independently. More importantly, it gave students the confidence to take the first step toward building successful careers and becoming financially independent.
The success of these events was made possible through the dedicated efforts of vocational coordinators and trainers, who worked tirelessly to inform students about the job drives and encourage their participation. Their continuous guidance ensured that eligible candidates were well-prepared and able to make the most of this valuable opportunity.
With 232 students selected out of 280 participants across both job drives, the initiative stands as a remarkable achievement for vocational education in Telangana. It demonstrates how collaboration between educational institutions, vocational trainers, and industry partners can create meaningful employment opportunities and empower young people to build brighter futures. As vocational education continues to grow, initiatives like these will remain essential in bridging the gap between education and employment.
