Anything is possible with dedication
This is a story about Sanat Mohle, a student at a government higher secondary school. Sanat comes from a poor family, and his father works as a daily labourer. Due to the uncertainty of his father’s work, it’s challenging for the family to make ends meet. Recognizing the importance of education for a better future, Sanat is determined to focus on his studies.
Currently in class 10, Sanat pursued a BFSI course in 9th grade as part of vocational education. Sanat has consistently excelled in his studies. He has a keen interest in machines, especially gadgets like drones and mobile power banks. In their locality they have electricity issues so often he faces problems in mobile charging that is why he decided to make a mobile power bank.
Ordering raw materials online, Sanat utilized the internet and sought guidance from his vocational teacher to successfully build a power bank with an 8000mAh battery, capable of charging two phones simultaneously. Sanat generously gifted this power bank to his vocational teacher, Suresh Kumar Prajapati, who now uses it to charge his phone.
After this success, Sanat took on the challenge of building a drone. Using components like a flight controller, DC coreless motor (48000 rpm), propeller, gear, lithium-polymer Lippo 650mAh battery, remote control transmitter, and charger, he crafted a drone from scratch. This drone can reach a height of 70m and carry up to 50g weight.
Sanat’s achievements brought pride to the entire school, and his story even made it to the local newspaper. His efforts serve as an inspiring example for fellow students, showcasing that anything is possible with dedication. Sanat’s parents and teachers have high expectations for him, and he aspires to pursue electronics engineering in the future. We wish Sanat the very best for his future endeavors.

बिपेश कोशले की प्रेरणादायक यात्रा
बिपेश कोशले, ग्राम- प्रभातोला, कबीरधाम। जीएचएसएस पोंड़ी, कबीरधाम का छात्र था। उन्हें 9वीं कक्षा में वोकेशनल ट्रेनर सुरेश कुमार प्रजापति से वोकेशनल कोर्स के बारे में पता चला। वहां उन्होंने अपने लिए बैंकिंग और फाइनेंस को चुना.
बिपेश के पिता विजय कोशले की 3 साल पहले मृत्यु हो गई, जो उनके परिवार में आय का एकमात्र स्रोत थे। परिवार में सबसे बड़ा बच्चा होने के नाते बिपेश ने अपने परिवार के लिए एक आर्थिक स्तंभ बनना अपना कर्तव्य तय किया।
फिर बैंकिंग और वित्त व्यापार से प्राप्त अपने कौशल के आधार पर उन्होंने अपने क्षेत्र में एक कपड़े की दुकान “बिकाश क्लॉथ स्टोर” खोलने का फैसला किया। इससे वह अपने परिवार के लिए 4000 से 5000/- रूपये मासिक कमा रहे हैं और आर्थिक रूप से अपने परिवार के लिए सहारा बन गये हैं।
फिर भी बिपेश अपनी पढ़ाई नहीं छोड़ना चाहते थे. इसलिए फिलहाल वह अपने काम के साथ-साथ बीए की पढ़ाई कर रहे हैं और अपने परिवार को आर्थिक रूप से संभाल रहे हैं। उनका लक्ष्य भविष्य में अपने बिजनेस को बड़ा बनाना है।
व्यावसायिक शिक्षा ने बदल दी जीवन जीने की शैली
आज हम एक छात्र के बारे में बताना चाहते हैं जिसका नाम हेमचंद्र साहू, पिता श्री राजकुमार साहू, ग्राम- नेउरगांव, खुर्द, जिला- कबीरधाम है। वह एक गरीब परिवार से हैं. उनके पिता एक किसान हैं. हेमचंद्र ने वर्ष 2022 में जीएचएसएस कबीरधाम स्कूल से स्नातक की उपाधि प्राप्त की। हेमचंद्र ने अपने 9वें ट्रेड में बीएफएसआई ट्रेड को चुना। इस व्यापार में उनकी रुचि इतनी बढ़ गई कि वे हमेशा टीचर से बैंकिंग और फाइनेंस के संबंध में तरह-तरह के सवाल पूछते रहते थे।
वह अपने स्कूल से साथी सहपाठियों के साथ एक औद्योगिक भ्रमण पर गये। वहां उन्होंने पैसे गिनने की मशीन देखी और उन्हें जिज्ञासा हुई तो उन्होंने बैंक मैनेजर से मशीन के संबंध में सवाल पूछे. बैंक मैनेजर ने जवाब दिया कि कैसे वह मशीन तेजी से नोट गिनने और नकली नोट का पता लगाने में उनकी मदद कर रही है। हेमचंद्र उस मशीन से इतने प्रभावित हुए कि उन्होंने खुद ही एक मशीन बनाने का फैसला किया। फिर उन्होंने इसे बनाने के तरीके पर शोध करना शुरू किया।
उन्होंने YouTube पर कई वीडियो देखे और उनके व्यावसायिक शिक्षक सुरेश कुमार प्रजापति ने भी उन्हें कैश गिनने की मशीन बनाने में मार्गदर्शन किया। मशीन बनाने में उन्होंने सीवीसी पाइप, कैलकुलेटर, बैटरी आदि का इस्तेमाल किया है।
वह मशीन पैसे गिन सकती है, उसे स्क्रीन पर प्रदर्शित कर सकती है और गणना कर सकती है। हेमाचंद्र के इस प्रोजेक्ट ने कई अन्य छात्रों को उज्ज्वल भविष्य की आशा के साथ बीएफएसआई पाठ्यक्रम में रुचि लेने के लिए प्रेरित किया। अब हेमचंद्र अपनी पढ़ाई के साथ-साथ एक स्थानीय कार्यशाला में अंशकालिक नौकरी भी कर रहे हैं। वहां वह पंखे की वाइंडिंग का काम करता है, मोटर, हैंडपंप आदि सभी प्रकार के बिजली के उपकरणों की मरम्मत करता है और साथ ही उस दुकान पर हिसाब-किताब भी संभालता है। इससे उन्हें मासिक 5000 से 6000 की कमाई हो रही है. हम हेमचंद्र को उनके भविष्य के लिए शुभकामनाएं देते हैं।
अगर दिल में कुछ करने की चाहत हो तो रास्ता मिल ही जाता है
इस पंक्ति को चरितार्थ कर रहे हैं शासकीय उच्चतर माध्यमिक विद्यालय पोंडी के हमारे छात्र पंचराम कोशले, पिता- बसंत कोशले, ग्राम- प्रभातोला, कबीरधाम। पंचराम एक बेहद गरीब परिवार से हैं, उनके पिता एक चीनी मिल में काम करते हैं और मां एक गृहिणी हैं। पंचराम जानता था कि उसे अपने परिवार की आर्थिक स्थिति बेहतर बनाने में मदद करनी होगी।
अपने स्कूल में पंचराम ने व्यावसायिक पाठ्यक्रम के तहत बैंकिंग और वित्त व्यापार लिया। फिर उनकी रुचि बढ़ने लगी और बीएफएसआई कोर्स पर अधिक ध्यान दिया। उसके माध्यम से उन्हें बैंकिंग, अकाउंटिंग, वित्त प्रबंधन आदि के बारे में पता चला। जब भी उसे कोई संदेह होता वह अपने व्यावसायिक शिक्षक श्री सुरेश कुमार प्रजापति से पूछता।
12वीं की पढ़ाई पूरी करने के बाद, पंचराम के पिता ने उन्हें चीनी मिल में ऑपरेटर के रिक्त पद के बारे में बताया, वह “भारोमदेव चीनी मिल” में कार्यरत हैं। पंचराम ने वहां आवेदन किया और बीएफएसआई पाठ्यक्रम से प्राप्त कौशल के आधार पर उन्हें नौकरी मिल गई।
वहां वह अकाउंटिंग का काम संभाल रहे हैं. अब पंचराम नौकरी के साथ-साथ बीए की पढ़ाई भी जारी रख रहे हैं और 7000 रुपये मासिक वेतन कमा रहे हैं। पंचराम बहुत खुश है कि उसे अपने स्कूल में व्यावसायिक पाठ्यक्रम सीखने को मिला और अब वह नौकरी कर रहा है और अपने परिवार की आर्थिक मदद कर रहा है।
Hard work is the path to success
Payal, a brilliant and hardworking student from SAGES HM Kawardha, was an excellent student of mathematics. Her mother, Kalyani Chandravasi, is a housewife, and her father, Shravan Chandravansi, is an LIC agent. Inspired by her father’s work, Payal chose the BFSI trade in 9th class, driven by a strong desire to achieve something. Through her 9th to 12th-grade journey, Payal learned a lot about banking and finance and paved the way for an early job opportunity.
Post her 12th-grade, while pursuing B. Com, Payal utilized her BFSI knowledge to attend a few interviews. Presently, she works as a data entry operator at the registration office in Khairagarh, earning a monthly salary of Rs 10,500. Payal’s parents are extremely happy about their daughter’s accomplishments. They appreciate the vocational courses offered at her school, which played a pivotal role in Payal securing a job whilst continuing her studies.”
Finding Opportunity amidst difficulties
Pondi Village, Kabirdham district, was a student at GHSS Pondi. Introduced to the BFSI. Abhijeet Raj Patel, son of Shree Johit Ram Patel frcourse by vocational trainer Suresh Kumar Prajapati in 9th grade, Abhijeet developed a keen interest in banking and finance.
In the 11th grade, during a school closure due to the pandemic, he started working at ‘Bharati Prints and Computer Sales Service Pondi.’ His prior knowledge from the BFSI trade proved beneficial, enabling him to perform tasks such as printing, money transfers, and choice center operations. For the past two years, Abhijeet has been working there, earning a monthly salary of Rs 5000.
Having graduated from the 12th class in 2023, he is currently pursuing MCA alongside his Job. His part-time employment has provided financial independence, making him self-reliant. Abhijeet aspires to continue his career in banking and finance after completing his MCA.
In Service training of Banking and finance Vocational Trainers
Vocational education is being conducted in 592 schools in Chhattisgarh, with 2 vocational trainers employed per school. All 1184 vocational trainers, categorized by trade, participated in training programs between January to March 2024. This program was funded by the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan in Chhattisgarh. Trainers from various companies and trades participated in this training program, including 48 trainers from Laqsh Job Skills Academy specializing in banking and finance, who attended from January 29th, 2024, to February 2nd, 2024.
The objective of the program was to upskill the trainers and to make them understand the strategic goals and objectives of the NSQF program. 2023. All 48 vocational trainers from Laqsh along with our co-ordinator Nitin Dewangan came to Raipur to attend this training program. Hostels were arranged for these 48 people to stay for along with food. This is the 4th training program that our VTs joined; the last such program was held in October 2023.
There was a high level of communication and interaction between trainers during this training program. Instructors trained the vocational trainers on theory and practicals.
On the first day, career counseling was provided by Ms. Ranju from UNICEF. The second day featured a pedagogy session conducted by Ms. Aayushi and Ms. Dhanushri from LAAHI (Lend a Hand India). The third day began with discussions on share market, mutual funds, and trading, followed by a session on various types of loans. On the fourth day, Mr. Shakti Thakur, Assistant Manager of Central Bank of India, Raipur, taught domain-specific subjects. The final day included a session by Mohammed Imran Khan on lighthouse discussing overall trainers’ work at school.
Topics included when trainers should go to school, the duration of classes, departure times, teaching objectives, and strategies to complete the syllabus efficiently, followed by feedback, certificate distribution, and a closing ceremony.
All the sessions were very engaging and informative as per the overall feedback. Through this training, vocational trainers were taught to aim to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, enabling the students to excel in the Banking and finance trade field. This is very important as our vocational trainers’ guidance and expertise will play a pivotal role in our students’ learning journey.

Amritpal Singh, IT-ITeS pass out from GSSS Khadur Sahib, Tarn Taran has been working as a salesman with Eureka Forbes for the past 2 months. He has a unique way of handling impatient customers. When the customer does not have the time and tries to shoo him off, he puts on a smile and says “No problem sir / ma’am, please take this brochure and read it if and when you have the time and let me know if I can be of any help”. This has softened a lot of customers who have ended up hearing him out. He gives his entire salary to his parents and feels proud that he can help out at home.

Sunil Kumar works in Competent Synergies and is already 3 months into the job which he got after passing out of the IT – ITeS course from GSSS Dutarawali, Fazilka. He follows up with customers who have not recharged or have stopped using Airtel’s service and tries to solve the issues they faced and get them back to being an Airtel customer. He can converse in Hindi, Punjabi and English depending on the customers’ preference. He, says his entire lifestyle and outlook has changed, and he now knows how to conduct himself, talk to his customers, and handle stressful situations. He is also proficient in Excel and is eager to show his skills to his manager to take on higher assignments.

Kuldeep works in Competent Synergies after he passed out of the IT – ITeS course from GSSS Dutarawali, Fazilka. When asked about how the job was, he said “Ekdum badiya!” He sells hello tunes to customers and can handle impatient and tough customers. He stays far from home and has rented a room with his friend. They eat lunch at the office canteen and have dinner at the gurudwara near their house. He gives full credit to the IT-ITeS course he took up in school and has persuaded his younger brother who studies in the same school to take up the vocational course so that he too can land a good job after passing out.

I joined Laqsh on August, 2012, as BLR 9 batch. But some unknown fear and insecurity took over me. Maybe it was the fear of being in a new place, among new people. I failed to open up myself. So, I started neglecting my classes. I was so stubborn, and so I decided to leave Laqsh. On the day when I came to Laqsh to present my application, to drop the course, something happened. The faculties of Laqsh took a hold of me, because somehow they knew that this act of mine was suicidal. They were not willing to give up on me, even when I myself had give up all hopes. That day was the most difficult day; I had a tug of war going on in my mind. Finally I gave in. I took their generous advice and decided to rejoin again. It was too late for me to join my previous batch, so I joined as the new BLR 11 batch, on October, 2012. That brought a drastic change in my life. Today after three and half months of my stay at Laqsh, I have become a more matured and confident person. I was like a lost sheep at first. Laqsh rescued me, and have so passionately nurtured and guided me to achieve to certain great heights that I had only imagined in my wildest dreams. I am so thankful to all the wonderful, most acknowledgeable faculty of Laqsh and they are the sole reason why I am in such a confident level now. And now I can’t be more grateful and thankful enough to each and every one of them for making me get through in my first ever job interview by Logfire as Software Tester.

My mother is a teacher of Mathematics and sister a Credit officer at the Bank of Baroda. After completing my graduation I gave a job mentor test conducted by the fresher’s world (helps in analyzing ones aptitude and technical skills). I also looked for jobs but didn’t find anything suitable or interesting. That is when I decided to specialize in a specific domain. I decided to move to Bangalore as it provides good job opportunities in the IT sector and majority of the IT companies are based in Bangalore. I got to know about Laqsh courses through fresher’s world. After joining this course, “My technical and practical knowledge have improved. I gathered skills which helped me clear interviews. Also, I have also become very confident”. Sushma Nagendra and Mr Kannan were my favorite teachers. They used very different teaching methodologies which were easy to understand. My dream is to work with Google. Currently I’m placed at INTEGRA MICRO SOFTWARE SERVICES PVT. LTD, Bangalore as Software Engineer Testing. My advice to everyone is, “One should be confident and never give up. One should have the willingness to learn and adapt then everything will fall into place.”
